The programme is characterised by the ability to assess the impact of raw materials and technological processes on product quality, use physical phenomena, chemical and biological processes, and technical parameters in shaping product quality, plan, implement, and apply quality costing, design, and improve quality management systems through the use of design and improve quality management systems by using available methods and techniques, apply a process approach The acquired knowledge will give the student the ability to integrate the knowledge and skills of the student with those of other disciplines. Specialities:
The profile of the specialization in the field of agricultural and food products commodity science is oriented towards the comprehensive preparation of quality managers of agricultural and food products. Graduates of this specialisation become specialists who find employment as commodity scientists or managers in food companies, commodity, and customs control departments, institutions dealing with design, protection and quality control, development of standards, and product attestation.
This profile is oriented towards preparing graduates in economics, i.e. in terms of studying the behaviour of actors in the production, distribution and exchange, and consumption of goods. The specialisation also prepares commodity specialists
in the field of logistics organization. Logistic activities may include (but are not limited to): customer service, demand forecasting, information flow, inventory control, handling activities, order processing, reparation activities
and parts supply, location of production plants and depots, procurement processes, packaging, returns handling, waste management, transport and
storage in the agro-food industry.
The programme addresses issues related to the evaluation of the physicochemical properties of milk, its hygienic quality, and the directions of its processing. It also covers the evaluation of the quality of manufactured dairy products in terms of their compliance with current legal regulations. Graduates have knowledge about the legal regulations pertaining to dairy processing, basic technological processes used in milk processing of milk, commodity science evaluation of drinking milk, other dairy products, auxiliary products and technological factors affecting their quality, quality assessment of milk and its suitability for processing, as well as the ability to detect the most common milk adulterations and methods for their identification, assessment of dairy product labelling correctness.
Quality management in production and services, particularly in the agri-food industry. Specialists in this field are prepared to perform one of the most sought-after jobs in the production sector. Within this specialization, students will gain knowledge in the field of organization management, including a pro-quality perspective, the role of team members in improving the quality of products and services, and quality management costs. Graduates of the Management of Quality course will find employment as internal and external quality system auditors or as members of a team for developing and implementing quality systems or as quality plenipotentiaries. The studies allow you to gain the competence to design, implement, audit quality management systems and evaluate services and products using specialized IT programs. The curriculum includes classes on quality control systems in production processes, materials testing methods and techniques, and machine maintenance engineering.
