About the project

The project, implemented under the Erasmus+ KA171-HED programme, is a joint initiative of the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża and partner universities in Ukraine. Its main objective is to develop international mobility for students and staff, deepen educational and scientific cooperation, and strengthen links between the Polish and Ukrainian academic communities.

The project aligns with the concept of the European Education Area with a global dimension, combining the development of academic mobility with teaching and research collaboration. The implementation of these activities is intended to foster the deepening of institutional and interpersonal relations, the exchange of knowledge and good practices, and the generation of new ideas and initiatives aimed at developing international cooperation.

Another key element of the project is supporting the integration of Ukrainian higher education institutions into the European education and research area, developing the competences of students and staff, and promoting European values, including the principles of equality, non-discrimination, social inclusion, sustainable development, and digital and green transition.

Planned mobility activities

Inclusion and accessibility

The project is based on transparent recruitment, equal opportunities and special support for those with fewer opportunities. Information regarding recruitment will be available on websites compliant with the WCAG 2.2 standard, and documents will be adapted to the needs of people with visual impairments. Provision has also been made for the use of ICT tools, individual consultations and the tailoring of support to the needs of people with disabilities or facing economic, social or cultural barriers.

Expected outcomes

The implementation of the project is intended to enhance students’ ability to function in a different linguistic and cultural environment, improve their professional competences, increase their readiness for further mobility, and reduce stereotypes and barriers in mutual perceptions.

For staff, the project is intended to contribute to the development of managerial, teaching and research skills, to enhance the potential for initiating international projects, and to expand research cooperation.

At the institutional level, this will result in an expansion of the university’s international activities, the development of new research areas, an increased capacity to prepare further projects, and the strengthening of the university’s position within national and European cooperation networks.

Development of research cooperation

The project also aims to lay the foundations for further collaboration between MANS, KNUTD and CPUT through the organisation of joint online lectures, the formation of research teams, the planning and conduct of research, the preparation of joint academic publications, the organisation of academic and educational conferences, and the creation of a forum for the regular exchange of experiences and best practice, including in the field of artificial intelligence.

Dissemination of results

The project’s results will be disseminated via the partners’ websites and social media, university television, academic conferences, inter-university and internal meetings, local web portals, and the individual activities of mobility participants. An academic publication and an international online conference summarising the project will also serve as key dissemination outputs.
